Celebrating Songkran 2026: Honoring Tradition as One Bags and Gloves Co., Ltd Family

Our People and Culture

April 13, 2026

For us at Bags and Gloves Co., Ltd., the Songkran Festival is about much more than just a holiday. It’s a time to hit the reset button, show gratitude to those who lead us, and celebrate the deep-rooted traditions that bring us together. This year, our teams at the Head Office, BAG4, and BAG5 are welcome the Thai New Year with a celebration filled with joy, respect, and a true sense of family.

Starting the Year with Mindfulness and Merit

We began our celebration by paying our respects to the sacred spirits and guardians of our offices and factories. It was a quiet, meaningful start to the day, as we offered prayers for a year filled with success and happiness for everyone in the organization.

One of the most peaceful moments of the day was the traditional bathing of the Buddha image. As we took turns pouring scented water over the image, it felt like a collective “cleansing”—a chance to let go of the stresses of the past year and start fresh with a clear mind. Surrounded by the scent of fresh flowers and the calm atmosphere, it was a beautiful reminder of our shared heritage.

Following this, we held a merit-making ceremony where we offered food and traditional requisites to monks. Seeing our colleagues from all departments help prepare the offerings with such care was a highlight of the morning. Receiving blessings together as a group really reinforced the idea that we aren’t just coworkers; we are a community.

Bridging Generations through the Rod Nam Dam Hua Ceremony

The heart of our Songkran celebration was undoubtedly the Rod Nam Dam Hua ceremony. This is a time-honored Thai tradition where we pour scented water over the hands of our elders and executives to ask for their blessings.

It was a touching scene to watch. Younger team members expressed their respect, while our senior members shared words of wisdom and encouragement for the year ahead. These simple gestures—holding hands, sharing smiles, and exchanging sincere wishes—build a bridge between generations. It’s moments like these that make Bags and Gloves feel like a place of meaning, rather than just a workplace.

A Vibrant Day of Unity

The office was a sea of color as everyone dressed in their brightest festive attire. Between the ceremonies, the air was filled with laughter and conversation as we shared a meal and took group photos to capture the memories. Whether you were at the Head Office or out at BAG4 and BAG5, the energy was the same: a spirit of unity and pride in being part of this team.

Looking Forward

As we move into the Thai New Year, we carry the warmth and positive energy from this celebration with us. We believe that a strong company is one that honors its roots and values its people above all else.

To our employees, partners, and customers: may this year bring you health, success, and peace of mind. We are excited to continue this journey together, moving forward as one strong, united team.

Happy Songkran 2026!
