Bags & Gloves at THAIFEX – HOREC Asia 2026: Sustainability Trends in the Hospitality Industry

Bags and Gloves Co., Ltd. was proud to participate in THAIFEX – HOREC Asia 2026, one of Asia’s leading international trade exhibitions for the hotel, restaurant, café, and food service industries. The event was held at IMPACT Challenger, Bangkok, bringing together hospitality professionals, manufacturers, distributors, and suppliers from across the region.

The exhibition provided an excellent opportunity for industry stakeholders to explore new technologies, exchange ideas, and build partnerships that support efficient and hygienic operations within the hospitality sector.

Insights from the Industry: Sustainability and Waste Management

One of the most significant insights observed during the exhibition was the growing shift within the hospitality industry toward sustainability and responsible waste management.

Many hotel groups, restaurants, and food service operators are increasingly exploring ways to reduce their environmental footprint. This includes transitioning toward bio-based materials, compostable solutions, and more responsible waste management practices.

In conversations with hospitality operators and industry professionals throughout the event, several key trends became clear:

  • Hotels are increasingly exploring bio-based materials as alternatives to conventional plastics
  • Food service operators are focusing more on waste reduction and better waste management systems
  • Businesses are seeking suppliers that support both hygiene compliance and environmental responsibility
  • Sustainability is becoming a key factor in procurement decisions within the hospitality sector

These developments reflect a broader movement toward more sustainable hospitality operations while maintaining strict food safety and hygiene standards.

Showcasing Sustainable Protection Solutions

At the Bags & Gloves booth in the Xperiential Zone, visitors were introduced to a range of protective hygiene solutions designed for food handling and hospitality environments.

A highlight of our showcase was our sustainability-focused product innovations, including:

  • Bio Prime — a bio-based plastic solution designed to reduce reliance on fossil-based materials
  • Bio Compostable — compostable plastic products developed to support waste reduction initiatives in hospitality operations

These solutions demonstrate our commitment to developing materials that help businesses move toward more environmentally responsible operations while maintaining reliable protection and food-contact safety standards.

We were also honored to welcome distinguished visitors to our booth, including Prime Minister and Ministry of Commerce Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul and Khun Suphajee Suthumpun, whose visit brought great encouragement to our team and highlighted the importance of innovation and sustainability within Thailand’s hospitality and manufacturing sectors.

Strengthening Industry Connections

Throughout the exhibition, the Bags & Gloves team had the opportunity to connect with hotel operators, restaurant groups, food manufacturers, and distributors from both Thailand and international markets.

These discussions provided valuable insights into the evolving priorities of the industry and reinforced the importance of reliable protection solutions that support both operational hygiene and sustainability goals.

Participating in THAIFEX – HOREC Asia 2026 allowed Bags and Gloves Co., Ltd. not only to showcase our innovations but also to gain deeper insights into the future direction of the hospitality industry.

We sincerely thank everyone who visited our booth and shared their perspectives during the event. We look forward to continuing to support businesses with reliable protection solutions and sustainable materials in the years ahead.
